Atlas Scaffolding is a shoring, formwork and scaffold supply company located in Surrey, serving BC's construction and building industry since 1996. We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic environment to work as a member of our team as a qualified welder.
The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling metal components according to drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Must be willing to work overtime when necessary to complete jobs. As a welder, opportunity to grow into the role of welding supervisor is available.
Job duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
- Operate angle grinder and saw, iron worker and drills.
- Set up and operate welding equipment and related tools.
- Cut, fit, grind, and prepare metal components for welding.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of welding equipment.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Job requirements:
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and handle materials as required.
- Have your own helmet and steel toed boots.
Job qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ welding experience – REQUIRED
- Experience in welding GMAW (Aluminum) and FCAW (Steel) – REQUIRED
- Valid CWB tickets – an asset
- Welding supervisor experience and/or ticket – an asset
