What is the opportunity?
If you possess a client-focused mindset and have the ability to identify client centric solutions, this role gives you a great opportunity to grow with the RBC Direct Investing team. The Direct Investing High Value Client Manager (HVCM) will provide expert support to new and existing High Net Worth/Ultra High Net Worth (HNW/UHNW) clients with highly complex needs, primarily through our alignment with RBC Private Banking and Business Financial Services.
RBC Direct Investing (RBC DI) is Canada’s second largest “do-it-your-self” online brokerage. As an investment dealer / distribution business, RBC DI’s core business is managing the digital, sales and contact center service and distribution capabilities that constitute the business. DI provides clients with access to the capital markets and other investment products.
What will you do?
Lead with a service mindset, delivering an exceptional partner experience that demonstrates your ability to support them and their clients with a “white glove” level of care.
Know your clients by identifying what is important to them, introducing them to RBC partners when you identify opportunities to add value
Actively collaborate with local market partners, including Private Banking (PB) and Business Financial Services (BFS), to identify new high net worth client opportunities that require a specialized and in-person on-boarding experience if they are going to consider RBCDI
Deliver client seminars and client knowledge sessions to drive engagement and awareness of the RBCDI total value proposition.
Deepen client relationships by offering value added insights, ensuring clients understand how to get the most out of RBC DI’s industry leading online platform.
Be accountable to understand the growth opportunity in your market/s and cultivate COI networks to win new business.
Be directly accountable for the retention and asset growth of an assigned portfolio of ~200 of RBCDI’s highest value clients located in your market.
What do you need to succeed?
University or College degree/diploma and a minimum of 4 year of experience in a client service role, driven to help meet clients’ needs.
Strong English communication (verbal, written, and transcription), analytical and time management skills, along with an attention to detail.
Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders.
Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
Conduct Practices Handbook (CPH)
Derivatives Fundamentals Course (DFC) and Options License (OLC).
Applied knowledge of RBC Canadian Wealth Management practices, risk management and operational procedures
Fluency in a second language is an asset
