Junior Accountant
The Junior Accountant will be an experienced accountant whose primary responsibilities will be the preparation of accounting records to support monthly financial closes and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
This individual must be a self-starting team player with a “can-do” attitude and the communication skills and personality to thrive in a complex, fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional, international mining organization. You must have the proper balance of skills, experience, and attitude to be successful in this role.
Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare corporate consolidation adjustments for non-operating companies and select operating companies. Perform bank reconciliations and month-end journal entries.
- Perform account analysis and intercompany reconciliations.
- Assist with consolidations, including data entry of subsidiary trial balances and preparation of subsidiary accounts.
- Assist with preparation of F/S audit working papers.
- Assist with preparation of the cash flow statements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide supporting documentation for financial and Sarbanes Oxley Sec 404 (“SOX”) audits; and help coordinate audit logistics while maintaining the existing positive working relationships with our auditors.
- Utilize Workiva, Oracle EBS, and JE Edwards ("JDE") software.
- Assist as needed with other ad-hoc projects.
Qualifications:
- Working towards obtaining the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in the next two years.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
- Experience with complex consolidations for a global multi-jurisdictional, multi-currency organization.
- Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel functions
- Excellent analytical and reconciliation abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage and prioritize competing demands.
- Experience working effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
- Experience with ERP systems.

Salary range:
$52,000 to $62,000, plus competitive benefits package.
