Position Overview
Cold Turkey Vape Shop is looking for reliable, customer-focused Customer Service Representatives to join our retail team!
This is an entry-level sales position within an age-gated vape retail environment. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing a positive customer experience, assisting customers with product questions, maintaining store standards, supporting daily operations, and ensuring all company and regulatory expectations are followed.
The ideal candidate has previous vape experience, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in helping customers find the right products for their needs. Evening and weekend availability is required.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales
- Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
- Assist customers with product questions, recommendations, and general vape-related inquiries.
- Provide accurate information on products, flavours, devices, accessories, and promotions.
- Support a positive customer experience during every interaction.
- Process sales transactions accurately through the POS system.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
Product Knowledge & Vape Experience
- Use existing vape knowledge to support customer needs and product recommendations.
- Stay informed on current products, promotions, and new arrivals.
- Understand basic device troubleshooting, e-liquid options, pod systems, disposables, and accessories.
- Help customers make informed purchasing decisions while remaining compliant with regulations.
- Follow all company standards regarding product communication and responsible retail practices.
Store Operations
- Complete assigned opening, closing, and shift duties.
- Support inventory handling, stocking, facing, and product organization.
- Assist with receiving orders, putting away stock, and maintaining shelf standards.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including displays, counters, cabinets, and customer areas.
- Follow company checklists, procedures, and daily operating expectations.
Compliance & Responsible Retail
- Follow all federal, provincial, and company requirements related to vape retail.
- Verify customer age as required by law and company policy.
- Refuse sales when required in a respectful and professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Follow all health, safety, cash handling, and loss prevention procedures.
Merchandising & Store Standards
- Maintain product displays according to company direction.
- Keep shelves, cabinets, signage, and promotional areas clean and organized.
- Support product launches, promotions, and merchandising updates.
- Ensure products are properly faced, priced, and easy for customers to shop.
Other Duties
- Assist with additional store tasks as assigned by management.
- Support team members during busy periods.
- Communicate store needs, customer feedback, or operational concerns to management.
- Help create a team-focused and professional work environment.
Schedule & Availability Requirements
- Part-time and full-time positions available.
- Up to 40 hours per week depending on business needs and availability.
- Must be available evenings and weekends.
- Flexible availability is considered an asset.
- Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications & Skills
- Vape experience is preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working in a regulated retail environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable using a POS system and handling cash transactions.
- Able to follow direction, policies, procedures, and compliance expectations.
- Organized, adaptable, and able to stay calm during busy periods.
- Must meet all legal requirements to sell age-restricted products.
- Must be in possession of a usable smartphone that can access the internet.
