Job Description:
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Manager, the Echocardiographer will provide diagnostic testing and assist physicians in the diagnosis of patients with cardiac and associated disorders. This position will work Saturdays and provide vacation coverage for full time staff.
Requirements:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
- ARDMS certification
- Current certification in BCLS
- Minimum of one year clinical experience
- Clinical experience with TEE
- Experienced in Doppler techniques including Dobutamine Stress
- Ability to work independently in fast paced, team setting
- Demonstrates values consistent with SHN’s Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation
- Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to SHN's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, and environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area.
- Demonstrates excellent work performance and attendance record

- Member of the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists
- Member of CARDUP
- Ability to speak another language is an asset
