Position Description
The Bilingual Field Recruiter plays a critical role in the organization’s human resources team by sourcing, attracting, and recruiting top talent, particularly in field and trade roles. This position involves working closely with operations and hiring managers across various sites to ensure staffing needs are met in a timely and effective manner. The Field Recruiter develops strategies for building a pipeline of candidates from diverse sources, including community outreach and trade partnerships, and ensures a positive candidate experience while supporting the company’s growth and operational goals.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct full life-cycle recruitment for field and trade positions across various geographic areas, including sourcing, screening resumes, conducting interviews, reference checks, and extending job offers.
- Build strong relationships with local communities, trade schools, and other organizations to proactively develop a talent pipeline for current and future opportunities.
- Collaborate with site leaders to identify staffing needs, role requirements, and develop targeted recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Support community partnership programs aimed at enhancing field labor pipelines.
- Assist in creating and posting job descriptions that accurately reflect the role and attract the appropriate candidates.
- Work with the compensation team to ensure competitive and market-aligned offers are made to candidates.
- Leverage multiple recruitment channels, such as job boards, social media, industry events, career fairs, and employee referrals to source candidates.
- Communicate regularly with hiring managers to forecast recruitment needs and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to overcome recruitment challenges, particularly in high-demand or hard-to-fill roles.
- Continuously look for process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the recruitment process and candidate experience.
- Use recruitment metrics and data to identify trends, report on progress, and refine recruitment strategies based on insights.
Qualifications:
- Educational background in human resources, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Bilingual English-French.
- 3+ years of field recruitment experience, with a proven track record in hiring trade and field roles.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships with internal stakeholders and external community partners.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and influence decisions across various audiences.
- Experience in developing and implementing recruitment strategies, especially in hard-to-fill, geographically diverse, or specialized roles.
- Ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Independent and collaborative work style with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Expertise in using LinkedIn Recruiter and other social media platforms to source candidates.
