Overview
Canadian Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Diagnostic Imaging equipment (X-Ray, CT, BMD C-Arms etc.) This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, traveling to client locations to ensure optimal operation of our products. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset to deliver exceptional service and support.
Duties
- Install, configure, and commission new equipment at client sites according to company standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, Quality Control and repairs on existing systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and effectively, providing timely resolutions.
- Conduct on-site training sessions for clients to maximize product utilization and understanding.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to relay feedback and improve product performance.
- Document service activities accurately in company systems and prepare detailed reports.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold safety standards during all service visits.
- Travel frequently to various client locations, ensuring minimal disruption to their operations.
Qualifications
- Post Secondary Electrical Engineering Technology, Biomedical Engineering Technology or Electronic Engineering or Equivalent related technical field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Service Engineer or similar role in industrial or technical environments is advantageous.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues quickly.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple service calls.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel.
- knowledge of PACS imaging systems would be an asset but not necessary.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 lbs
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for training
Pay: $25.11-$57.35 per hour
