HR Assistant

Your Role

As the HR Assistant in the Toronto office, you will work with the HR Manager on all areas of HR.

What you will do:
Performs diversified clerical and administrative activities related to employee processing, file/data maintenance and data entry to record personnel or status changes, new hires, status changes, transfers, and terminations. Verifies payroll changes.
Enrolls new employees in programs.
Processes and records information, such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data; attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.
Processes employment applications; and assisting in other employment onboarding or recruiting activities.
Independently create presentations and internal correspondence for the region
Create and maintain periodic and ad hoc reports regarding metrics, employee demographics, salary, staffing/productivity, and other related information
Assist with various research projects and/or special projects
Understand all Gensler policies and ensure compliance
Maintain and ensure accuracy of HR data and files
Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications:
Bachelors degree plus 1-2 years of Human Resources experience working in a team environment at a professional organization
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of InDesign a plus
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail
Ability to quickly learn systems, processes and procedures
Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
Team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships
Self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines
