EHS-AB is seeking a motivated and experienced leader for the role of Operations Supervisor, Health Hub. Reporting to the Manager or designate, this frontline operational leadership position supports patient care coordination, operational decision making, and system flow across Alberta's integrated EMS system. The Operations Supervisor contributes to operational readiness, workforce support, and provincial priorities by strengthening collaboration between the Health Hub, Dispatch, the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), the Staff Support and Operational Oversight Centre (SSOOC), and frontline operations. This role provides the opportunity to lead in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where clinical expertise, operational awareness, and strong relationships help ensure patients receive the right care, at the right time, through the most appropriate care pathway. The successful candidate will support innovative models of care while promoting the effective use of provincial EMS resources. Description:
As the Operations Supervisor, Health Hub, you provide day-to-day operational leadership supporting patient care coordination and operational decision making across Alberta's provincial EMS system. Reporting to the Manager or designate, you lead a multidisciplinary team while working closely with Dispatch, the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), the Staff Support and Operational Oversight Centre (SSOOC), frontline ground ambulance operations, clinical programs, and healthcare partners to optimize patient movement, operational effectiveness, and access to care. You provide visible, supportive leadership by coaching, mentoring, and empowering staff while fostering a respectful, psychologically safe workplace focused on high-quality patient care and operational excellence. You support real-time operational decisions by balancing patient needs, ambulance availability, hospital capacity, and system demand, facilitating communication and coordinated action between the Health Hub, Medical Communications Centres, IOC, SSOOC, and field operations to improve patient flow, support return-to-service objectives, and maintain provincial situational awareness. You monitor operational performance, identify emerging risks, resolve complex operational challenges, and work collaboratively with internal and external partners to improve patient flow, strengthen system integration, and maximize the effective use of EMS resources. Working alongside SSOOC, you support frontline teams through operational oversight, issue escalation, workforce support, and consistent provincial communication.

Required Qualifications:
Graduate of a healthcare or paramedic program recognized by the applicable professional regulatory body. Current registration in good standing with the applicable professional college, where required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare or emergency services, with a minimum of two (2) years of progressive leadership experience in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience leading operational teams in a complex, fast-paced healthcare or emergency services environment. Proven ability to make sound operational decisions under pressure while balancing competing priorities. Experience collaborating with Dispatch, frontline operations, provincial operations centres, healthcare partners, and multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in healthcare administration, business, leadership, or a related field. Experience in EMS operations, Health Hub, Dispatch, patient flow, or healthcare coordination. Knowledge of Alberta's provincial EMS system and healthcare navigation. Demonstrated ability to lead change, improve operations, build collaborative partnerships, and support continuous improvement within a unionized environment.
