Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roller Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy compaction equipment to ensure the proper foundation and surface preparation for various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery, safety protocols, and construction processes to deliver quality results efficiently.
Duties
- Operate vibratory rollers and other heavy equipment to compact soil, asphalt, and other materials according to project specifications
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with site preparation, including grading and leveling surfaces prior to paving or concrete work
- Collaborate with construction crews to coordinate tasks and ensure safety standards are maintained
- Support related activities such as loading materials, assisting with concrete forming, or operating excavators as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries on site
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as rollers, loaders, excavators, and other machinery
- Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment
- Background in construction environments, including paving, concrete finishing, or similar projects
- Commercial driving experience is a plus for transporting equipment or materials between sites
- Familiarity with safety standards in construction settings is essential
- Prior experience in concrete forming or finishing is advantageous but not mandatory
