This position requires that you provide excellent customer interactions to the retail customer in the store in a professional and knowledgeable manner. Building your product knowledge and skillfully conveying that information to customers will be a key focus.
Your day will start with restocking products on the retail shelves and launching the POS system. You will also unlock the door and put various signage in place, ensuring that the outside entrance area is free of any debris. Throughout the day you will greet customers and ensure they have used hand sanitizer, then find out their needs so you can recommend and locate the appropriate products. You will also process payments and bag purchases, in some cases with gift wrapping. Your day will end with balancing the cash and closing the shift in the POS system. You will also need to bring in the signage, lock the retail door, then vacuum and wash floors. You will also disinfect the cash area and retail desk surfaces. On your way out the staff door, you will need to set the security alarm.
During peak product production times, you will assist the production team in labelling products.
Since most of your day will involve interacting with customers, it is crucial that you have an outgoing personality and enjoy doing this. Your positive outlook will also ensure that you work well with the other members of the retail and production teams. You also need to be comfortable working alone in the store.
Knowledge of skincare products and ingredients is beneficial but not necessary as extensive training and information will be provided.
