We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. Duties
- Operate heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and forklifts with precision and adherence to safety protocols
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring secure handling of materials
- Drive commercial vehicles for transportation of goods and equipment as needed
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with automotive repairs related to heavy machinery when necessary
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards and protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and other construction machinery
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred or required depending on the role
- Knowledge of freight handling and logistics operations is a plus
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Excellent attention to detail, safety consciousness, and reliability are essential for success in this role
Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
