Location: 1250 Glenshire Drive, Langford, BC

Position Summary Landmark Sign Ltd. is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented CNC Router Operator/Programmer to join our production team. In this central role, you will operate our AXYZ Infinite CNC router using V-Carve Pro software to cut acrylic, PVC, polycarbonate, Aluminum Composite Material (ACM), and aluminum in various thicknesses. You will be involved in nearly every job that moves through the shop — creating and optimizing toolpaths, loading materials, monitoring cuts for accuracy and quality, and performing routine machine maintenance. While the majority of your time will be spent in the router room, you will also assist with packaging, assembly, cleanup, and installation work as needed depending on current shop workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and optimize cut paths/toolpaths in V-Carve Pro for a wide variety of signage projects and materials.
- Select appropriate router bits, feeds, and speeds for different materials and thicknesses.
- Optimize nesting to minimize material waste.
- Load, secure, and unload materials on the AXYZ Infinite CNC router.
- Monitor production runs to ensure cuts are accurate, clean, and meet project specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on the CNC router to maintain smooth, reliable operation.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, CAD files, and production orders.
- Use various hand and power tools for secondary operations and finishing as required (prior experience an asset; training available).
- Perform quality inspections and measurements on finished parts.
- Assist with packaging, assembly, general cleanup, and installation work when required.
- Track and report time spent on jobs and help maintain accurate production records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while strictly following all safety procedures.
Requirements Must Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Comfort working in a dusty and noisy shop environment while properly wearing required PPE (dust mask/respirator and hearing protection).
- Strong attention to detail, good work ethic, problem-solving skills, and a genuine desire to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment.
Assets (Nice-to-Have):
- Previous experience operating CNC routers (ideally in a signage or custom fabrication environment).
- Familiarity with the material properties of acrylic, aluminum composites, plastics, and similar substrates.
- Forklift ticket.
- Valid driver’s license.
