Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician/Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering medication guidance under supervision
- Manage inventory, including stocking, labeling, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies
- Maintain detailed records of medication dispensation and patient interactions in compliance with regulatory standards
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including proper handling of medications and maintaining a clean work environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care activities and medication management
Skills
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail pharmacy setting is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
- Compassionate patient care skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is a plus
- Basic understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards related to medication handling
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
