DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pull product ensuring all materials are pulled and proper paperwork completed as per company procedure
- Pack product in boxes and pack on skids for shipping purposes
- Follow protocol closely as per company policies
- Maintain proper documents for shipping purposes
- Pulling of products from yard and warehouse
- General warehouse duties including clean up
- Process wire cut orders or order pulling as required
- Prioritize cuts or pulling of product based on instructions on the pick slips
- Work on wire cutting machine adjusting controls to ensure accurate lengths are being cut
- Monitor and track inventory as per company procedures (example: Lot numbers & length)
- Inspect wire cutting machine and tools for safe using
- Other warehouse tasks as assigned by your manager.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Highly organized, with attention to detail and exceptional time management
- Good multi-tasker with the ability to work to and meet deadlines
- Reliable, ability to carry out tasks correctly while under pressure
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, the very physical job for 8 hrs. a day
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
- Team player, adaptable, energetic with a positive professional attitude who can work alone
- Ability to process orders in an organized manner
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, 150 lbs. assisted
- Problem solver and able to deal with product issues that may occur
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Previous order picker experience will be considered an asset
- Previous plumbing and/or electrical industry experience preferred
- Forklift Experience an asset
Final candidates will be required to undergo an assessment and security screening, including a criminal record check. Employment is subject to screening completion that is satisfactory to Bartle & Gibson.
