Are you passionate about customer service, leadership, and creating unforgettable guest experiences? Join our whale watching team as a Front Desk Supervisor and play a key role in ensuring every guest's adventure starts off and ends on the right foot.
As Front Desk Supervisor, you'll work closely with the Guest Experience & Naturalist Manager to support daily operations, lead the front desk team, and help deliver exceptional experiences to thousands of guests throughout the season.
This is a year round, permanent, full-time position.
What You'll Do:
Leadership & Team Support
- Lead, motivate, and support front desk team members
- Assist with onboarding, training, and coaching new staff
- Ensure front desk service standards are consistently upheld
Guest Experience
- Deliver outstanding customer service in person, over the phone, and by email
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and escalations professionally and efficiently
- Troubleshoot operational and guest service issues as they arise
Operations & Administration
- Coordinate and manage charter and group booking requests
- Assist with staff scheduling and coverage planning
- Assist with retail operations, including inventory organization, merchandising, and sales support
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of office and guest areas
- Assist with cash handling procedures and ensure transaction accuracy
- Help maintain and improve operational procedures, checklists, and reference materials
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and standards are followed
- Communicate effectively with management, vessel crews, and other departments
- Assist with daily operational tasks, including preparing tour information and schedules
- Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in customer service, tourism, hospitality, or a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities throughout the day
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed
- Experience with bookings, reservations, retail sales, or tourism operations is an asset
Schedule & Availability:
- Full-time permanent position
- Mandatory weekend and holiday availability
- Flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
- Vacation requests should not conflict with peak operating periods

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
