Explorers Academy (theexploreracademy.com) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Abacus Trainer to join our team. This role is ideal for educators who are enthusiastic about developing children’s mental arithmetic skills, concentration, and confidence through the art of abacus training.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging abacus and mental math classes for students across different age groups.
- Teach students effective techniques for speed and accuracy in arithmetic calculations.
- Develop lesson plans and practice materials aligned with abacus training methodology.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
- Prepare students for competitions, assessments, and certification programs.
- Foster an enjoyable and motivating learning environment that builds focus and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance overall math enrichment programs at the academy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in teaching abacus/mental math is strongly preferred.
- Strong mathematical foundation and ability to inspire young learners.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Certification in abacus training methods is a plus.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for student development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
