Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthodontics. Those without experience will also be considered. This position is part-time to begin with.
Responsibilities
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Take orthodontic records including photographs and digital scans
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Performing orthodontic procedures within their scope of practice and based on a standing order of an orthodontist
- Maintain accurate patient records using a dental management software
- Provide support for orthodontic procedures when applicable
- Manage patient appointments efficiently and ensure a positive patient experience
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in Ontario
- New graduates welcome to apply
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Experience in orthodontics, pediatrics, or general dentistry is a plus
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to educate and reassure patients about their oral health needs
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
