This is a unique opportunity to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Fieldglass while partnering with cross-functional business and technology teams to modernize contingent workforce management processes. As the functional lead, you will play a critical role in delivering a standardized, scalable, and integrated SAP Fieldglass solution that supports the organization's long-term digital transformation strategy.
Position Summary:
Reporting into the SAP Plus Program, the SAP Fieldglass Lead is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Fieldglass as the Company's system of record for managing the full contingent workforce lifecycle, including Contingent Workforce Contractors (CWC), Construction Management & Inspection (CM&I), and other Excluded Contractors.
Acting as the primary liaison between business stakeholders—including Human Resources, Supply Chain, Finance, Projects, and Technology—and the System Integrator, you will ensure end-to-end contingent workforce processes are scalable, standardized, and aligned with the SAP Plus program guiding principles.
This role also requires strong expertise across integrated SAP platforms, including SAP S/4HANA, Workday, SAP Ariba, and related technologies that support the SAP Fieldglass ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
As the SAP Fieldglass Lead, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end functional design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Fieldglass across Contingent Workforce Management, Services Procurement, and Profile Worker modules.
- Drive the simplification of the Fieldglass solution by reducing unnecessary customizations while supporting SAP clean core principles.
- Facilitate solution scoping and design workshops with cross-functional stakeholders to capture current-state processes, define future-state solutions, and document key decisions.
- Lead the redesign of integrations between SAP Fieldglass, Workday, SAP S/4HANA, SAP FI/CO, and downstream systems, addressing known pain points and improving overall system performance.
- Ensure Fieldglass aligns with Contractor Management Policy, including contractor classification standards for Contingent Workforce Contractors (CWC), Construction Management & Inspection (CM&I), and Excluded Contractors.
- Validate integration requirements with upstream and downstream systems while partnering closely with the System Integrator to review and approve functional designs.
- Develop and maintain fit/gap analyses, decision logs, and design documentation throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Support data migration activities, including data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and Fieldglass master data management.
- Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, issue resolution, and production readiness activities.
- Partner with the Contingent Workforce Program Office and CM&I PMO to ensure operational readiness through training, documentation, and business adoption.
- Provide governance over rate cards, approval workflows, exception management, and contractor lifecycle processes.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP Fieldglass, advising leadership on standard functionality, SAP best practices, and opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership.
Key Outcomes:
Success in this role will be measured by delivering:
- A standardized SAP Fieldglass platform aligned with clean core principles, enabling the acquisition, time entry, and payment of contingent workers.
- Successful integration between SAP Fieldglass, Workday, SAP S/4HANA, and related enterprise systems.
- Strong business adoption and operational readiness at go-live.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Human Resources, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of SAP experience with significant hands-on experience implementing, configuring, administering, or supporting SAP Fieldglass.
- Demonstrated experience leading at least one major SAP Fieldglass implementation or transformation initiative.
- Strong understanding of contingent workforce management processes, including requisitioning, onboarding, time and expense management, invoicing, and offboarding.
- Experience designing and supporting integrations between SAP Fieldglass, SAP ECC/S/4HANA, and Workday.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence business and technical teams within complex, matrixed organizations.
- Ability to facilitate workshops and drive alignment across business, functional, and technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading SAP S/4HANA or ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation programs.
- Experience within the energy, utilities, engineering, or other regulated industries.
- Experience with SAP Ariba, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP GRC, and SAP Concur.
- Understanding of Canadian contractor compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of SAP clean core principles and SAP best practices for minimizing customizations.
Technical Skills:
- SAP Fieldglass configuration, including approval workflows, templates, rate structures, custom fields, and data mappings.
- Strong understanding of integration architecture, including APIs, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), middleware, and batch processing.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA financial structures, cost objects, and financial posting processes.
- Experience with data migration, reconciliation, and master data management.
