Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Dartmouth, NS office.
Roles and Responsibilities

Work closely with Head of Engineering Management office and Project Management Office to define and execute the project plans and deliverables.

Develop, document, and manage requirements for system and subsystem specifications.

Conduct requirements analysis and flow down activities.
-
Identify, resolve, and track requirement issues.
-
Develop, document, and manage the system, subsystem and software design.
-
Develop, document, and manage system and subsystem interfaces.
-
Support and technical oversight for suppliers responsible for provision of subsystems.
-
Interface with specialty engineering disciplines to ensure the optimum system design.
-
Support the Engineering team in the implementation of system design.
-
Provide the support in assessing of technical decision based on system requirements.

Support the Systems integration Team in integration and verification of the software, subsystems, and system.

Provide support to installation, set to work, integration and acceptance of the systems.

Report progress and status.
Qualifications and Experience

Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with subject matter experts, colleagues, clients, and users.

Skills working in a self-directed manner in a team environment, including personal workload management (organizing and prioritizing).

Excellent time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines in a high-paced environment.

Approximately 8 years of systems Engineering experience with complex electronic systems or a combination of equivalent education/experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.

Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods.

Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.

Experience with authoring tools (i.e. Adobe Acrobat Pro, etc.) in the creation of online and print documents.

Fluency in MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.
