Licensed HVAC Subcontractor
Quick Cool Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a licensed HVAC Subcontractor to join our growing team. We are looking for an experienced professional to perform the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and commercial HVAC systems while delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated contractor seeking a consistent flow of work. An HVAC apprentice will be provided on projects where additional assistance is required.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical system faults and perform effective repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Install and modify ductwork, refrigerant piping, ventilation systems, and related HVAC components.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding system operation, repair options, and recommendations.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
- Coordinate effectively with apprentices, office staff, suppliers, and other trades as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid HVAC trade certification and required licensing.
- Proven experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting residential and/or commercial HVAC systems.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience with heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioners, mini-split systems, rooftop units (RTUs), and ventilation equipment is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and professionalism.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
