Job Summary
Marshall Construction Company is currently seeking experienced on call flexible Class 1 Truck Driver. The driver will operate end‑dump and live bottom (live floor) trucks hauling gravel and aggregates to active construction and concrete job sites. This opportunity is well‑suited for reliable, safety‑focused drivers looking for flexible, as‑needed hours. The ideal candidate is a semi‑retired or retired Class 1 driver who enjoys driving and is interested in staying active through flexible, on‑call scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 end‑dump and live bottom trucks in accordance with company policies and Alberta regulations
- Haul gravel, aggregates, and construction materials to and from job sites, pits, and suppliers
- Perform safe dumping and unloading procedures on uneven and active construction sites
- Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate logbooks and required documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and site crews
- Assist on site as required when not driving
Experience & Licensing Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
- Minimum 3 years of Class 1 driving experience
- Clean 3‑year commercial driver’s abstract
- Negative drug and alcohol test
- Experience with manual transmission
- Experience operating end‑dump and/or live bottom trailers
- Proven experience hauling gravel and aggregates
- Construction or concrete industry experience is a strong asset
Physical Capabilities
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads up to 45kg
- Able to work long hours in various positions and perform repetitive tasks
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions

- Willing to work out of town and out of province
- Willing to work on Saturdays

Hours & Compensation
Note: Compensation and benefits will be discussed in person and are dependent on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$36.00 per hour
