Medison Pharma Canada is currently accepting applications for a Medical Affairs Manager who will be based in our offices in Downtown Toronto.
The Medical Affairs Manager is a key member of the medical team and provides expert medical and scientific support to the cross functional teams to assist health care professionals and other stakeholders in making informed decision on optimal therapy for patients.
You will support the Country Medical Director in creating the medical customer engagement strategy and the medical affairs project-plan for medical launch excellence and successful life cycle management, fully in line with brand strategies and company objectives to meet the predefined targets of the medical affairs department.
Requirements:
- Advanced Scientific or clinical degree (Pharm D, MD, PhD) is required.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Medical Advisor or Medical Manager.

Experience in Rare Diseases or Hematology/Oncology is an asset.

Strong scientific/clinical and medical affairs knowledge and the Canadian Healthcare system

Experience managing medical-scientific projects (e.g., medical studies) end-to-end.

Experience discussing on and off label clinical and scientific concepts.

Experience using data insights to decide next actions to enhance customer experience

Experience working with different healthcare stakeholders.

Previous experience of product launches is an asset.

Must be able to travel 20% of the time, including ability to travel overnight and occasionally on weekends.

Demonstrates ability to function with minimal supervision and a high degree of initiative.

Demonstrates in depth scientific and clinical knowledge and ability to understand and integrate complex scientific concepts.

Responsibilities:
- You will work closely with the Country Medical Director and the MSLs to establish a medical footprint in the country.

Work closely with the cross functional team to develop the strategic brand plan and executes the strategic medical plan as a component of the integrated brand plan for allocated products within the portfolios.

Develop country specific medical tactical plan, including implementation of regional projects.

Liaise with the Partner Medical Affairs team to ensure optimal leverage of collaboration.

Gather and interpret customer insights from the MSLs and translate into medical strategy.

Coordinates and pro-actively contributes to all pre-launch and life cycle activities for current products and potential pipeline products in the country.

In collaboration with the Country Medical Director, responsible for the implementation and lifecycle management of patient support programs (PSP) to address high unmet medical needs.

Monitor the external landscape and identify new and changing trends in therapeutic area. Capture competitive intelligence, and proactively communicate strategic insights to the cross functional team.

Support the clinical program of the assigned products and all research-related activities.

Understand unmet medical needs of the patient and develop an optimal scientific communication platform to integrate the needs of patients and the business.

Creates and supports implementation of the Canadian publication plan.

Serve as a scientific resource to internal and external customers. Provides medical training to MSLs, and cross functional team.

Coordinate activities with the MSLs and support execution of the medical education activities.

Develop and execute medical advisory boards, expert forums, ambassador programs, and other appropriate programs to optimize relationship with Canadian opinion leaders and capture customer insights.

Provide scientific and strategic support for regulatory and market access submissions.
