UWCRC 2.0 Inc. is seeking a professional and organized full-time Leasing Specialist to provide leasing and operational support to the Property Management Team. This front-line role is essential to ensuring smooth leasing operations and maintaining strong occupancy across the residential portfolio.
The Leasing Specialist will actively conduct property tours, engage with prospective tenants, and support the leasing process from initial inquiry through to move-in. This role plays an important part in delivering an exceptional resident experience and supporting the leasing of available suites.
Working closely with the Property Management Team, this role helps ensure a seamless experience for prospective, new, and existing residents while highlighting the innovative and sustainable features of our properties.

Leasing Responsibilities:
- Manage a calendar of scheduled showings and application appointments in an organized and effective manner.
- Prepare show suites and rental properties for presentation and take prospective residents on tours highlighting all the amenities the property has to offer.
- Collect and process applications from prospective residents.
- Perform credit checks, rental, and employment history, RTB and Court of Kings Bench registry checks.
- Compile all relevant application information and submit to Property Manager for approval.
- Coordinate collection of deposits and initial rental payments as part of the move-in process.
- Assist in preparing new lease agreements and entering new residents into Yardi Property Management Software.
- Respond promptly to leasing inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activity, applications, and waitlists.
- Assist with website content management and online marketing initiatives, ensuring listings, photos, and promotional materials are current and effectively represent the property portfolio.
Administrative Support:
- Provide general administrative support to the Property Management Team, including filing, data entry, and reporting.
- Create welcome packages.
- Assist with coordinating move-ins, move-outs, and resident communications.
- Support the preparation of leasing and occupancy reports for management review.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain both electronic and hard copy filing system.
Customer Service:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and current residents.
- Ensure a high standard of professionalism and responsiveness in all interactions.
- Support the Property Management Team in addressing resident concerns and inquiries in a timely and respectful manner.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in property management, administration, or a related field.
- Completion of courses or designation through REIC (Real Estate Institute of Canada) or similar considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Manitoba Residential Tenancies Branch (RTB) legislation and processes is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with Property Management software (Yardi experience is an asset).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have ability to work extended hours as necessary to complete job requirements.
- Must be able to provide a clear Criminal Records Check
