INTERMEDIATE CLERK I
Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Accounting and Purchasing, the Intermediate Clerk I is responsible for a broad range of administrative and operational functions supporting the department and organization. Key responsibilities include departmental records retention, JDE address book management, print shop coordination, and departmental purchasing and ordering.
Operating primarily out of the mailroom, this position ensures the efficient daily operation of all mailroom services. This includes the receipt, sorting, processing, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and courier items, maintaining mailroom equipment and supplies, coordinating bulk mailings, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery across the organization.
The role also provides daily coverage for reception/switchboard operations, ensuring professional and courteous front-line service to internal and external stakeholders.
In addition, the Intermediate Clerk I is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the organization’s multi-function device (MFD) fleet. This includes monitoring device performance and usage, coordinating maintenance and service calls, managing supply levels (e.g., toner and paper), liaising with vendors, and supporting users to ensure efficient and uninterrupted printing, scanning, and copying services across all departments.
As this position is within the Accounting and Purchasing department, duties can also include accounts payable and accounts receivable.
This position regularly works under tight deadlines.

10 month and 10 day position. This position works the school year plus 5 days before the start of school and 5 days after the end of school.
Salary Range:
$25.85 - $30.04 per hour
Qualifications:
Required: Grade 12 Diploma. Strong interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and decision making skills are required. Must have the ability to work independently and as a team member and possess strong clerical and organizational skills. Able to problem solve, make decisions and work within strict deadlines. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook. Lifting is required; testing will be part of the selection process.
Preferred: Experience with JD Edwards & knowledge of basic accounting principles would be an asset.
