Insight is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team in our Pain Management department at the Meadowlark clinic. This is a permanent, full-time position that will rotate between front-end and back-end responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Front-End:
-
Greet and check in patients, providing scheduling and exam preparation support.
-
Register and update patient information, ensuring prior exams and medical history are uploaded before appointments.

Coordinate patient flow by notifying departments of arrivals and assisting with portering and exam preparation.
-
Process requests for reports, images, and external medical records/exams.
-
Manage incoming calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
-
Perform administrative duties including photocopying, faxing, mailing, and courier distribution.
-
Order, receive, and maintain office inventory and supplies.
-
Maintain clear communication with Diagnostic Imaging staff to support clinic operations.
-
Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards.

Keep reception and waiting areas organized and professional.
-
Support onboarding and training of new staff.
-
Carry out additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.
Back-End:
-
Review and manage Meadowlark (Mead3) bookings in IDDA/Sked, ensuring procedures are scheduled appropriately and aligned with radiologist qualifications and patient preferences.

Coordinate with Central Booking to rebook patients and process transferred requisitions with booking instructions.

Respond to booking inquiries via phone and Teams.

Support front desk operations and assist with general administrative duties.

Request out-of-province imaging and review requisitions as needed.

Reprocess RFA probes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and perform monthly autoclave maintenance.

Manage viscosupplementation product ordering, receiving, and distribution.

Assist with supply inventory, stocking, and procedure room preparation.

Perform additional departmental and operational duties as required.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 graduate.

Computer experience with minimum 50 words per minute

Knowledge and understand of medical terminology are considered an asset

Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk, Medical Transcription program an asset
