About Pathfinder Therapy Inc.
Pathfinder Therapy is a Calgary-based private practice specializing in men’s mental health, trauma, burnout, neurodivergence, and couples counselling. We work with clients who are ready to do real work, not surface-level symptom management. Our team is small, clinically sharp, and deeply aligned on how therapy should feel: honest, collaborative, and built around the person in the room.
We’re growing, and we’re looking for the right person to grow with us.
The Role
We’re hiring a contract therapist; either a Provisional Psychologist registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) or a Registered Social Worker (RSW) through the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) to join our team on a contract basis.
This is a 60/40 revenue split arrangement for the first 3 months, then 50/50. You bring the clinical skill; we bring the clients, the space, the admin infrastructure, and a practice built on a reputation that fills caseloads.
Availability needed: evenings and weekends. These are the hours our clients need most and where we have the highest demand.
We’re looking for someone ready to build and sustain a caseload of 15–20 clients per week. This is a role for a clinician who is serious about their practice, not someone looking to dabble.
What You’ll Be Doing
Providing individual therapy to adults navigating some combination of anger, burnout, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, and the kinds of questions that don’t have easy answers. You’ll work within a trauma-informed, person-centred framework and bring your own clinical strengths to the work. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy, and we won’t ask you to deliver it that way.
What We’re Looking For
● Active registration as a Provisional Psychologist (CAP) or Registered Social Worker (ACSW)
● Experience working with adults, ideally with some focus on trauma, men’s mental health, or neurodivergence
● Comfort with evidence-based modalities: CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, or EMDR training is an asset
● A clinical voice that’s direct, warm, and doesn’t hide behind jargon
● Availability evenings and/or weekends (this is essential)
● Ability to work independently as a contractor
● A genuine commitment to doing excellent work; we hold a 5-star rating and we protect it ● The drive to show up fully for your clients, week after week
● High autonomy; you manage your schedule and your caseload; we trust you to run your practice like the professional you are
● Reliability and readiness; you show up on time, prepared, and present for your clients every session
What We Offer
● 60/40 revenue split for the first 3 months, then 50/50
● Warm referrals; we have consistent client demand
● Beautiful, light filled offices with large window, with In-person space at our NW Calgary office (#204B, 2120 Kensington Road NW) and/or online sessions, a space you’ll actually look forward to working in.
● A practice with an established brand, strong SEO, and direct billing setup
● Full clinical and administrative support; we handle the back-end so you can focus on the work
● A practice on a rapid growth trajectory; the right person joins now and grows with us ● A genuinely collaborative culture; we welcome fresh thinking, bold ideas, and clinicians who want to help shape the future of men’s mental health
