Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience operating press brake machines. This role is essential in ensuring the fabrication of metal components meets quality standards and specifications. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with other team members to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine job requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery such as milling machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to verify adherence to specifications using basic math skills.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with various fabrication techniques including laser cutting and machining.
- Proficient in using hand tools and operating forklifts safely.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
