Position Purpose: The Seasonal Guest Operations, Adventures & Attractions Attendant is responsible for driving and interacting with the public. As an Adventures & Attractions Attendant, our guests will appreciate your good nature, exceptional service standards, safety and efficiency as you operate the various adventures and attractions throughout the Zoo site. This position will assist and provide support in implementing the Strategic Plan.

Safely load, unload and operate all rides, rentals and attractions at the Toronto Zoo.

Clearly communicate and ensure all safety rules are followed by guests.

Keep a clean work area and assist with cleaning rides and rentals and surrounding areas.

Follow all safety procedures and ensure guest and staff compliance with Zoomobile rules and procedures.

Follow all TSSA requirements including incident reporting.

Be safety-minded, courteous, and able to demonstrate an appreciation for the importance of guest service.

Follows all policies and branch instructions.

Attends appropriate training as required.

Outgoing and enthusiastic personality and attitude.

Strong customer service skills are an asset.

Able to work well with others in a team environment.

Must be available to work a total of 5 days per week in the Zoo’s peak season (May – September).

Police Reference Check is required (upon offer of employment).

Well-developed interpersonal skills, along with strong communications skills.

Working knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and WHMIS legislation an asset.

Must be able to work weekends, shifts and holidays as scheduled.

Must be able to deal with staff and public in a courteous and efficient manner.

Capable of meeting the physical requirements of the position.
