Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Building Restoration Foreman to lead and oversee restoration projects focused on historic and commercial building preservation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple aspects of restoration projects from planning to completion. Duties
- Supervise daily on-site restoration activities, ensuring projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth workflow and communication
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide project execution
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Primavera P6 for scheduling, tracking progress, and resource allocation
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with specifications and safety regulations
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and assist with construction estimating to optimize resource use
- Oversee safety protocols on-site, ensuring all team members follow OSHA standards and best practices
- Implement schematic designs and technical drawings accurately during restoration processes
- Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, issues, and changes for reporting purposes
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in construction or building restoration projects
- Strong knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6
- Expertise in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating
- Excellent understanding of quality control procedures within the construction industry
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high standards of work
- Skilled in using construction management tools for scheduling and project tracking
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise diverse teams and subcontractors
