Join the Process Development, Media team and work alongside experienced Engineers, Associates, and Scientists to design robust, innovative, and cost-efficient manufacturing processes for industry-leading cell separation and media products! As a Scientist, Process Development, you’ll support media production, troubleshoot and improve upon manufacturing processes, and ensure our products continue to lead the industry by investigating non-conformance reports and providing recommendations to resolve issues. You will also work closely within the larger business, providing your expertise to support project success. Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical and strategic recommendations in establishing new facilities to a cross-functional project team, including providing supervision to team members and overseeing development plans for ISO 14001 integrations in risk assessments
Nurture collaborations to deliver non-conformance investigation reports on time and ensure all investigation-related activities are documented appropriately
Provide technical support for Media production services and batch record documentation when required
Provide scientific expertise to the team to assist in troubleshooting complex datasets, analyzing and visualizing data, and preparing project proposals, reports, and process flow diagrams
Present experimental results at data meetings, clearly communicating conclusions and future plans
Knowledge and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or relevant discipline with 6+ years of industry experience in, or PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of industry experience.
Prior experience in cell culture and/or cell culture media development is an asset
Prior experience working with Google Suite, Principles of Quality by Design (QbD), Product LifeCycle Management (PLM) and SAP interface is highly desired
General knowledge of biological raw materials, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 are desired
Experience in contributing to cross-functional projects is required

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:
$78,640.00 - $118,000.00
STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
