River's Edge Catering is seeking a task-driven individual with excellent organization, presentation, and communication skills to join our team in the role of Line Cook at The Riverside Country Club.
REPORTS TO: Executive Chef/Owner & Manager
SUMMARY:
The Line Cook plays an integral role in providing Restaurant and Catering Guests superior food quality and consistence, while keeping in accord with service excellence and food safety standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
- Assist the Executive Chef in providing excellent quality and presentation of each and every dish.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Produce menu items in a timely, efficient manner, while maintaining the highest level of quality.
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food on the line
- Prepare and portion food prior to service
- Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
- Additional duties as required by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1 year proven experience in a Full Service Restaurant.
- Previous experience in Catering Industry considered an asset.
- Possess an understanding of cooking methods, ingredients and equipment
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet priority deadlines.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Must be flexible to accommodate irregular shifts (days, evenings, and weekends) and/or extended hours (40+ hours per week)
- Must work and respond well under pressure.
- Must be a great team player.

Wage to be determined based on experience and skill set.
