Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) (Casual) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you would be required to do delagations for workers on a call-in basis. Travel will be reimbursed as well as wages to be negotiated.
Responsibilities
- Provide training to care workers working with clients in their homes, including medication administration and wound management, etc
- Monitor the delation on a yearly basis to ensure methods remain up to standards
- Educate clients and their families on health conditions, medication use, and safety procedures
- Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety protocols
- Provide documentation of training and any necessary documentation required to perform and complete delegations of function for our home care workers.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as an LPN or RN in the applicable jurisdiction
- Prior experience in nursing home, hospital, or acute care environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols
- Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, children, hospice patients, or those requiring assisted living or dementia care
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Epic or Cerner is preferred
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to individualized needs
- Additional experience in phlebotomy, laboratory procedures, case management or pain management is a plus
