Position Overview
ThruFlow is seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist to support the planning, creation, execution, and reporting of digital marketing initiatives across social media, paid advertising, email, website content, campaigns, events, and brand communications.
This role is ideal for someone who is both creative and analytical, with strong content development skills and hands-on experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro. The successful candidate will help strengthen ThruFlow’s digital presence, support brand awareness, engage customers and industry partners, and contribute to marketing campaigns that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Content Management
- Participate in the planning and execution of social media strategy across current and future platforms.
- Create, maintain, and manage the social media content calendar.
- Develop engaging social media content for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, X, and other relevant channels.
- Write captions, post copy, hashtags, headlines, and calls to action that align with brand voice and campaign goals.
- Format content and creative for each platform, including feed posts, stories, reels, carousels, thumbnails, banners, and ads.
- Schedule and publish social media posts using approved scheduling tools.
- Monitor published posts to ensure content, links, tags, and formatting are correct.
- Keep up to date with platform trends, algorithm changes, content formats, and best practices.
Creative Design & Multimedia Production
- Create and edit marketing materials using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
- Design social media graphics, digital ads, brochures, sell sheets, presentation materials, email graphics, website assets, and campaign visuals.
- Plan, film, and produce video content for social media, product promotion, customer projects, events, trade shows, company announcements, and brand storytelling.
- Edit video content in Adobe Premiere Pro, including short-form clips, reels, product videos, event recaps, testimonials, captions/subtitles, graphics, music, basic colour correction, and platform-specific exports.
- Resize, reformat, and repurpose creative assets for different digital platforms and marketing uses.
- Maintain consistency in logo usage, fonts, colours, imagery, tone, and overall brand presentation.
- Organize and maintain libraries of approved images, videos, templates, captions, hashtags, and brand assets.
- Add captions, subtitles, or accessibility features to digital content where required.
Community Management & Engagement
- Monitor company social media accounts daily.
- Respond to comments, questions, mentions, reviews, and direct messages in a professional and brand-appropriate manner.
- Engage with followers, customers, partners, suppliers, industry accounts, community pages, and relevant professional networks.
- Identify accounts to follow, engage with, or build relationships with.
- Monitor brand mentions, tags, shares, user-generated content, and relevant industry conversations.
- Escalate customer service issues, product questions, sales inquiries, or complaints to the appropriate internal team.
- Help manage negative comments, spam, or inappropriate content according to company guidelines.
Audience Growth & Partnership Support
- Support audience growth through engagement and content optimization.
- Identify and engage with relevant industry accounts, influencers, partners, and brand advocates.
- Assist with partnership outreach and maintain related contact information as needed.
Campaign, Event & Paid Marketing Support
- Support digital campaigns for product launches, promotions, trade shows, events, sponsorships, and company announcements.
- Create pre-event, live-event, and post-event content when applicable.
- Capture or coordinate photo and video content for campaigns, events, customer projects, and company initiatives.
- Repurpose event and campaign content for social media, email, website, advertising, and sales support materials.
- Assist with paid social media campaigns, including ad copy, creative assets, targeting support, boosted posts, and performance monitoring.
- Track campaign metrics such as clicks, leads, conversions, engagement, cost-per-result, and audience response.
- Coordinate with sales, customer service, leadership, external vendors, agencies, designers, photographers, videographers, and other partners as required.
Reporting, Analytics & Insights
- Track social media and digital marketing performance across platforms.
- Monitor key metrics including follower growth, engagement rate, reach, impressions, clicks, shares, comments, saves, video views, leads, and conversions.
- Prepare monthly and campaign-specific performance reports.
- Identify top-performing and underperforming content.
- Recommend improvements based on analytics, audience behaviour, competitor activity, and campaign results.
- Track competitor performance, industry benchmarks, customer feedback, and recurring questions.
- Share insights that can help improve content strategy, customer education, sales support, and brand positioning.
Brand, Compliance & Administration
- Ensure all content follows ThruFlow brand standards and approved messaging.
- Confirm product claims, technical information, and marketing messages are accurate and approved before publishing.
Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, graphic design, digital media, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in digital marketing, social media management, content creation, graphic design, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience or demonstrated ability to film and produce video content using cameras, mobile devices, or similar equipment, with a basic understanding of lighting, audio, framing, shot composition, and file management.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially:
- Adobe InDesign for layouts, brochures, sales sheets, and marketing documents.
- Adobe Illustrator for graphics, icons, illustrations, and vector-based design.
- Adobe Photoshop for image editing, photo retouching, and digital creative.
- Adobe Premiere Pro for editing reels, product clips, event recaps, testimonials, promotional videos, and platform-specific social content.
- Strong video editing skills, including adding captions/subtitles, music, graphics/titles, basic audio cleanup and colour correction, and exporting files for social media, websites, email, and presentations.
- Experience creating content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and other social platforms.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Ability to create both written and visual content that is clear, professional, engaging, and on-brand.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools, analytics platforms, paid social advertising, and digital reporting.
- Basic understanding of SEO, website content, email marketing, digital advertising, and lead generation is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and approvals.
- Creative thinker with a strong eye for design, detail, layout, typography, and visual consistency.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience in manufacturing, building products, construction, decking, marine, architecture, or B2B marketing is considered an asset.

They should be highly proficient with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro, and able to turn product information, customer stories, events, and company updates into polished digital marketing content.
