Power System Engineer, Renewables: Transmission Planning and Grid Interconnection

Enerzinx LLC is looking to hire ambitious and motivated electrical/power system engineers with experience in the renewable energy industry to be a part of a dynamic team:
Responsibilities:
· Develop PSSE/PSLF steady state and dynamic power flow models, ASPEN short circuit models, PSCAD models, etc. and perform grid interconnection studies for utility-scale renewable energy projects including Solar, Storage, Wind, and Hybrid
· Develop preliminary plant layout, and Single Line Diagrams for renewable energy projects
· Perform feasibility studies for renewable energy projects
· Perform specialized studies such as reactive capability, harmonics, TOV studies, etc.
· Perform equipment modeling and benchmarking studies as applicable
· Co-ordinate and attend meetings with Developers, Utilities, ISOs, and equipment manufacturers as subject matter experts on Grid Integration and transmission planning.

Qualifications:
·Masters preferred- (Bachelor’s may be considered) in electrical engineering with 2+ years relevant experience
·Experience with one or more of the power systems tools- PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD, ASPEN, TSAT, TARA, EMTP-RV, ETAP, Dig SILENT
· Experience in one or more of the following areas: transmission planning, renewable grid integration studies, stability studies, and reliability assessment.
· Experience working with ISOs (independent system operators) and/or RTOs (regional transmission organizations)
· Fundamental understanding of electric power systems and renewable energy
· Some proficiency in one of the languages: Python, Java, C++ (Preferred)
· Strong organizational, interpersonal (written & verbal) skills, problem-solving, and analytical skills
· Ability to work in a dynamic multi-cultural team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
