Job Title: Warehouse/Forklift Operator
Location: Brampton, ON
Pay Rate: $23.76 per hour
Job Summary:
Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring motivated and reliable individuals for a warehouse/forklift operator role with our client, a well-established metal recycling center in Brampton. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations by ensuring materials are properly sorted, processed, and meet quality standards. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, hands-on industrial environment with competitive pay and consistent hours.
Schedule:
For first couple of weeks:
Day Shift: 7 am to 7 pm
Week 1: Wednesday and Thursday
Week 2 : Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
After:
Night Shift: 7 pm to 7 am
Week 1 : Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, sort, and process ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials
- Remove non-conforming materials from the sortation line
- Operate equipment such as counterbalance forklifts and skid steers
- Load, unload, and transport materials as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Accurately input material codes and weights into the system
- Prepare and issue yard tickets to customers
- Support production, shipping, and receiving operations
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients
Qualifications:
- 3–4 years of shipping/receiving, and warehouse experience required
- Manual lifting up to 45 lbs
- Counterbalance forklift experience is required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial setting
Additional Requirements:
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check
