Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking small plates in our european inspired wine bar .Your enthusiasm for food preparation, attention to food safety, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will help ensure an exceptional dining experience. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food handling and safety regulations
- Support the kitchen team during busy service times by efficiently managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks
- Follow proper food safety procedures, including proper storage, temperature control, and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or discrepancies
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments with a focus on food preparation and cooking
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards within the food industry
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Experience with meal preparation, serving, and basic cooking techniques preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
