Salary: The salary range for this position is CAD $35.56/Hr. - CAD $35.56/Hr.
Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, performs duties related to the operation and maintenance of the plant. Performs inspection and repair of a variety of equipment such as heating boilers, air conditioning systems, water lines, plumbing systems, and sterilizers, in accordance with various codes and regulations.
What You Bring:
Education:

Certificate of competency as a 4th Class Power Engineer recognized by the Province of British Columbia

Two years recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Skills and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Your Day to Day:

Operating heating boilers and air conditioning systems, starting and shutting them down. Monitors temperature controls and records readings.

Checkng and repairs water, waste, and steam lines, along with plumbing fixtures.

Adjusting HVAC systems using various controls and performs maintenance on boilers and HVAC equipment.

Cleaning hospital equipment and changes air filters as needed.

Handleing service calls for fire protection and medical air systems. Resets systems and performs repairs.

Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and responds to alarms, reporting incidents to the Manager.

Maintaining records and performs tests and calculations. Completes other assigned duties.
