Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dealership operations, sales management, and customer service, with the ability to assist customers in selecting the right parts and accessories. This role requires excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a strong understanding of automotive repair and retail sales. Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly valued to serve our diverse clientele effectively.
Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the appropriate automotive parts and accessories, providing expert advice based on their needs.
- Manage inventory levels, ensure accurate stock records, and place orders for parts as needed.
- Process sales transactions accurately using cashiering systems, including handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department to facilitate efficient customer service.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy.
- Collaborate with service technicians and sales teams to ensure timely availability of parts for repairs and maintenance.
- Support outbound sales efforts by reaching out to potential clients and promoting available products.
- Keep detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and inventory updates for administrative purposes.
- Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and communication skills when engaging with customers and team members.
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or background in automotive repair is preferred.
- Proven experience in retail sales, outside sales, or high-end sales environments.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage sales processes effectively with organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to better serve a diverse customer base.
- Experience with administrative tasks such as cashiering or sales management is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and related systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
