STEMA Learning-Surrey City Center offers after-school programs on Robotics, Coding, AI, and academic support to kids from ages 5-15.
We are looking for dynamic and organized individuals to join our team of STEAM/STEM facilitators. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading conversations and developing engaging activities to explore a number of topics and will work closely with kids ages 5-15. Our facilitators will help us create a safe and fun learning environment for kids to explore and enjoy.
Responsibilities:.
- Facilitate the classroom and assist students with their learning progress.
- Guide students to work on different STEAM/STEM projects.
- Complete students' daily reports
- Review curriculum before each session.
- Help with curriculum development and provide feedback to improve curriculum quality.
- Ensure the student's completion of the project and provide feedback to parents.
- Provide academic support and some tutoring services
- Support a healthy, safe, and fun learning environment
Ideal candidate profile:
- Background in computer science, IT or engineering
- Energetic and enthusiastic individuals
- Ability to work with children and create a fun and engaging environment
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork skills
- Available to work in the afternoons of Thu and Wednesday and Monday
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 15.0 per week
