Why this role is important?
We are hiring a Senior Specialist, Complex Care Programs.
The Complex Care team at Shoppers Drug Mart supports patients with management of their chronic conditions, including diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, mental health and support for seniors. In this role, you will be accountable for supporting the Complex Care team in development and execution of holistic programs across our store network and digital ecosystem, with a focus on the Cardiovascular portfolio. You will build on a strong foundation of existing program assets to make Shoppers Drug Mart the destination for our patients.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role will support the strategy, overall project management and operations of programs and services within the Cardiovascular portfolio. The role will be supported by cross-functional groups, including digital partners, to ensure the delivery of program health outcomes and business KPI’s.
What You'll Do:
Support day to day management and implementation of existing services and programs targeted towards patients with Cardiovascular and other chronic conditions.
Support the planning, development and launch of new programs working with cross-functional stakeholders (marketing, pharmacy, operations, finance, legal etc.)
Collaborate effectively with technology partners (internally and externally) to help patients and pharmacy team members manage services for better patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Support development of business cases for recommendations addressing key patient and business opportunities.
Work with the Professional Services, Professional Affairs and Government Relations teams on review of programs/technology, and implementing regulatory requirements.
Support the development and presentation of materials for department meetings, stakeholder communications, internal / external conferences, and other channels as required.
What You'll Need:
University degree in Business, Healthcare, Finance or Marketing; retail, general healthcare and/or Pharmacy experience preferred.
1-3 years of relevant experience participating in large program rollouts and cross-functional teams in large enterprises; program and product development an asset.
Ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization to move projects forward; actively engaging internal and external stakeholders.
Strong project management and planning skills with attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge in financial analysis and modeling is an asset
A creative thinker who is comfortable working with ambiguity, ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in the use of Power Point, Excel, Word; experience with product management tools (Confluence, Jira etc.) is an asset
