Overview
A new Cocktail Bar/Retro Arcade in the exchange is seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a passion for hospitality, be reliable, have the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and staff and have an open availability.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize dining flow.
- Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional manner.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Support food service operations as needed, including assisting with takeout orders or special events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to help others and enhance their dining experience.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
