We are seeking a skilled , experience and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our team. As a Licensed Fire Alarm Technician CFAA, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting and troubleshooting of alarm systems for residential and commercial clients. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Perform inspections, tests, verification, repairs and maintenance work on fire alarms, fire extinguishers, hoses, emergency lighting and sprinkler systems.
- Perform Troubleshooting and Investigations as lead technician in different fire alarm systems.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual fire safety inspections on including elevators, smoke control systems as well as various building systems interlocked to fire alarm.
- Install, program, and troubleshoot alarm systems, including intrusion detection systems
- Provide technical support to customers regarding alarm system operation and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service call records, troubleshooting outcomes etc.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulations related to alarm systems
- Be able to participate in After-hour service calls on a rotational basis.
Requirements:
- CFAA Licensed Technician
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician
- Strong knowledge of low voltage electrical systems and components
- General knowledge of sprinkler system testing, repairing and servicing an asset
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting skills on both addressable and convectional systems with a proven ability to test relays and identify ground fault locations and correct open circuits independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
