Our Optical store is looking for a licensed optician to join us full-time at our optical boutique. The ideal candidate needs to be able to handle themselves in a fast-paced situation and must have the ability to assist patients in selecting eyewear while providing exceptional customer service. The major job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting customers with a welcoming and friendly attitude
- Exploring the needs and priorities of customers
- Performing adjustments/repairs
- Taking measurements and filling out lab orders
- Educating customers on lens types and helping patients select frames
- Performing the task at hand accurately and thoroughly while paying attention to details
- Problem-solving while exploring the underlying reasons for the issue
- Retaining the proper paperwork for all transactions
- Ensuring customers are satisfied with their experience
Other general duties include:
- Answering phone calls promptly and professionally
- Notifying patients when their glasses/contact lenses are ready to be picked up
- Booking in patients for eye examinations, confirming appointments and setting the appointments for the next day
- Verifying and updating patient information
- Opening and closing the store
- Ensuring the work environment is clean and to standards
- Adhering to policies and procedures
