Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Event Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth preparation and presentation of food for various events, providing guests with high-quality dining experiences. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to event menus and specifications
- Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Serve food to guests in a timely and professional manner during events
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies
- Assist with setup and breakdown of food stations before and after events
- Follow recipes accurately and adapt to special dietary needs when required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy event times
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles, preferably within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Strong skills in meal preparation and cooking techniques across various cuisines
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen experience including familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Prior experience in the food industry is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
