One of our clients is currently hiring a Seed Plant Operator/Assistant for their seed cleaning plant in Carmangay.
Job Title: Plant Operator (Seed Cleaning Plant)
Location: Carmangay, AB
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Operate seed cleaning equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Clean, separate, treat, and bag common and pedigree seed.
- Maintain accurate records of seed lots and daily plant operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on plant equipment.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and handling seed products.
- Provide excellent customer service and support the Plant Manager with daily operations.
- Keep the work area clean and follow all safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a plant, warehouse, agricultural, or seed cleaning environment is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of seed cleaning equipment is preferred.
- Good communication skills and a basic understanding of English.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform physical work.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of seed crops and agricultural operations is an asset.
- Pesticide, grader, or plant operator certifications are considered an asset.
- Must have a car.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
