Reports to the Pipefitter/Welding Supervisor.
What you will do:
Assist with the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping components and systems, as well as fixed equipment such as tanks, towers and exchangers
Plan scheduled metals related outage work
Maintenance and repair of utility and process piping as well as fixed equipment such as drums, towers and exchangers
Implement the Preventive Maintenance program for piping and fixed equipment systems such as steam, traps, check valves, manual isolation valves, tanks, towers and exchangers
Utilize SAP for daily maintenance activities
Active participation in team safety meetings, audits and Job Task Observation of peers
Responsible for the day-to-day safe and efficient execution of the department’s preventative, routine, and immediate maintenance requirements
Work alongside and in cooperation with other maintenance trades, operations, and technical groups
What you will bring:
High School Diploma
Inter-provincial Journeyman Pipefitter /Boilermaker Certificate
Minimum of 5 years in an industrial setting
Commitment to achieving superior results with a positive work environment
Extensive knowledge of piping systems, materials and codes
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with maintenance of fixed equipment such as exchanger’s, drums and towers
