Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Cook a variety of dishes with attention to presentation and consistency
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow sanitation procedures and uphold health department standards
- Serve dishes to guests promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook in a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and food industry standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Prior experience with food service or restaurant operations is preferred
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
