The Refrigeration/HVAC Technician, is responsible for providing installation, preventive maintenance, service, and repair on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment in a commercial and industrial setting while show casing exceptional customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Servicing new and existing accounts by analyzing work orders, investigating complaints, identifying solutions, conducting tests, and resolving problems;
- Troubleshooting issues with all commercial and industrial HVAC / Refrigeration equipment;
- Installing or retrofitting equipment as per specifications, customer requests, blueprints or the current building / plumbing codes;
- Inspecting product quality and installation to ensure conformance and customer satisfaction;
- Documenting service and installation actions by completing electronic forms, reports, logs, and records;
Other required duties may be assigned that fall within the parameters of the primary responsibility of the position.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Red Seal Journeyman Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic Certification or 2nd to 4th Year Apprenticeship Documents required;
- Experience in a commercial setting is required;
- Available for rotating on call shifts;
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with an acceptable 5 year driver's abstract;
- Valid safety certifications such as First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, CSTS, PSTS, Fall Protection, AWP, H2S Alive, Elevated Work Platform, Energy Safety Canada are considered an asset.
