Requirements
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and hold a valid work permit for at least one year.
- Must possess a valid Smart Serve Ontario Certificate.
- Previous restaurant service and leadership experience in Canada is preferred.
- Advanced-level English communication skills (both speaking and listening).
- Ability to remain positive, flexible, and accountable in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong initiative with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and take action independently.
- Ability to lead by example and contribute to a high-performing team culture.
- Passion for coaching, developing, and supporting team members.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- High level of ownership and accountability for restaurant operations.
- Growth mindset with a willingness to continuously learn and develop.
Job Responsibilities
This is a full-time position (35–40 hours per week, including weekends).
Prior to the opening of SAKU Mississauga, successful candidates will complete their training at SAKU Edward (22 Edward St., Toronto). As a member of the opening management team, you will play an important role in building the team and establishing operational excellence from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and supporting daily floor operations
- Delivering and maintaining exceptional guest experiences and customer service standards
- Recruiting, training, coaching, and developing team members
- Managing labour, scheduling, and staffing efficiency
- Ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are consistently met
- Preparing daily reports, managing cash handling, and performing closing procedures
- Making operational decisions and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Collaborating with other management team members to achieve restaurant goals and build a positive team culture
Compensation
$18.00–$22.00 per hour + Tips
Compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and leadership background.
Location
SAKU Mississauga
Training will take place at SAKU Edward (22 Edward St., Toronto) until the Mississauga location opens.
